In certain cases we are happy to support passion projects, charity projects and no-budget project as well as student projects with reduced rates.

You can of course test the equipment before rental. We have experienced and skilled experts on site to support you with any questions/difficulties.

We do require crew (not included in the rental price) when renting some of our more specialist equipment such as drones or super slow motion cameras.

We also have talented, creative crew available for productions. If you need anything specific please get in touch. We are sure to be able to help!

We strongly believe in what we call PRIME SUPPORT. Whenever you rent equipment at FILMBASE we ensure everything is in a working condition. Should something happen on your production and you need a quick replacement and/or additional gear, feel free to call us for a quick and easy solution.

If you have a project coming up in the future which you already know the date for, make sure to let us now to reserve your dream kit early in advance. As availability is limited it’s always a good idea to let us know as soon as you know something - even if the date is not fixed yet.

You can cancel your rental two working days prior to your rental period to receive a full refund or avoid being charged for the rental.

A cancellation within 48 hours prior to the rental period is being charged at 50%.
No-show or a cancellation on the pickup day is being charged at 100%.
Cancellations during the rental period are unfortunately not possible and are being charged at 100%.

We offer a variation of payment options:

• Bank transfer (SEPA)

• Credit Card (both at pickup and afterwards)

Although our payment terms are within 14 days of invoice date we might ask certain first time customers to pay in advance.

For first-time customers, a security deposit may be required, varying based on the order amount. The deposit can be paid by credit card before the rental period begins or at the time of pickup. Alternatively, payment via bank transfer before the rental period is also accepted.

All items available for rent at FILMBASE are insured in Europe by our equipment insurance.

All items are inspected before departure and upon return. If equipment is used in harsh conditions, or returns in a state requiring additional care then a cleaning fee may be applied.

If equipment requires repair or replacement, an estimate will be furnished to repair or replace the item(s).

A flat rate safety deposit (varying depending on the overall order amount), which is the insurance deductible, will be charged in advance together with the equipment rental and will be refunded after the end of the rental period. Please keep in mind that any insurance costs, damages, repairs and cleaning fees will be deducted from the security deposit.

We do not offer shipping on our equipment. All pick ups and drop offs must be done in person at our rental house location.

Pick up and drop off location is the rental house at Marie-Andeßner-Platz 1, 5020 Salzburg, Austria.

We do offer a delivery service though, for more information on that please see “Delivery” in the FAQ.

We do offer a delivery service within Salzburg county and surrounding areas for those who can’t pick up or drop off equipment themselves. For availability and pricing please contact us.

Please note: We do not offer shipping through third party contractors.

Equipment pick up is from 16:00 -18:00 the day before the rental commences. In case you need to pick up earlier or later in the evening for any reason, please contact us.

Please note that a deposit must be paid either in advance or on site via credit card to pick up the equipment. Additionally, a photo ID is required at the time of pickup.

Equipment drop off is between 9:00 - 11:00 the day after the rental has finished. In case you need to drop off earlier that day or later for any reason, please let us know before the rental period commences.

A dropoff after 11:00 may incur additional fees.

We offer the first 24h pickup/dropoff option in and around Salzburg.

Please ask your FILMBASE contact about the 24h pickup or dropoff possibility and you will receive further information on the specifics - like the location of the safe box, the door code and access instructions.
